School program

The Place des Arts School Program has been introducing high school students to the performing arts through artistic collaborations for nearly 10 years.

Bringing High School Students and Performing Arts Together

Thanks to the expertise of artist-mediators, the school program aims to inspire students' engagement, critical thinking, and autonomy by offering a unique creative process.

At your school, led by an artist-mediator, to introduce young people to the discipline of the selected performance.

Optional for Teachers

For teachers eager to deepen the connection between culture and education through aesthetic education.

Aesthetic education takes center stage in cultural mediation

This approach aims to stimulate artistic sensitivity by fostering a deeper connection with oneself and with others.

Information and Registration Dates

  • Choose 1 performance associated with 1 artistic discipline.

    Duration: 60 minutes without intermission + 30-minute discussion after the performance
    Location: Théâtre Maisonneuve

    Deadline for registration: December 15, 2025

  • One workshop is included with the performance, and additional workshops can be added to enhance the experience.

    Duration: 75 minutes
    Maximum Participants: 40 students
    Location: In-class – except for schools outside Greater Montreal.

    September 2025: An email will be sent by Place des Arts to register for the workshop(s) following your performance reservation.

    Deadline for registration: December 15, 2025

  • Optional and offered free of charge to teachers who have reserved a performance.

    Dates: November 13 and/or 14, 2025
    Duration: 1 or 2 days
    Location: Place des Arts

    Deadline to access teacher release: October 1, 2025
    Deadline to reserve at Place des Arts: October 30, 2025
