Off the coast of Labrador, a storm strikes a merchant ship carrying supplies to Inuit communities in the Far North. As the tempest rages outside, a violent incident erupts in the heart of the vessel and shakes the crew.
The name of Alupa, a young Inuit mechanic, surfaces as the ensuing investigation unfolds. His fate suddenly takes a turn, taking with it the unique bond he shares with his best friend on board. Issues of race, class and desire are deftly intertwined in this hard-hitting, intimate and painterly thriller, a triple award winner at the Tribeca Festival.
This film will be presented as a Canadian premiere at this 32nd edition of Festival CINEMANIA.
