More than 25 years after its original release, Guillaume Corbeil and Marc St-Martin revisit Louis Saia’s film — based on an original idea by Richard Goudreau and a screenplay by Christian Fournier — by bringing it to the stage. It’s a chance to reunite with Quebec’s most famous hockey team (okay, maybe the second most famous…) and to remember the importance of mental toughness.

Stan, owner of a brewery and coach of a very, very amateur hockey team, loses a staggering amount of money in a poker game against Méo — a loan shark he considers a friend.

To give Stan a chance to settle his debt, Méo comes up with an idea: they’ll go double or nothing on the ice, in a hockey game. If Stan’s team wins, the debt is erased. But if they lose… Méo becomes the owner of Stan’s beloved brewery.

While Méo assembles a squad of hulking enforcers and ex-cons, Stan can only rely on his boys. His team is made up of men from all walks of life, bound together by little more than their love of hockey — and the beers they share after the games.

To help the man who is more than just their coach, they’ll have to set aside their differences and discover the true meaning of friendship.
