They need no introduction, neither she nor he. Yuja Wang and Yannick Nézet-Séguin are among the greatest names in music worldwide, they are colleagues, and they are friends. They perform on the grandest stages, with the finest orchestras, yet they still take a moment to join forces at the Festival to celebrate Ravel’s 150th anniversary – and in the most splendid way possible!
Yuja Wang is unfortunately forced to cancel her participation in this concert for health reasons. The Festival de Lanaudière extends their sincere thanks to Marc-André Hamelin, who has kindly agreed to step in at the last minute to perform Ravel’s two piano concertos. The program remains unchanged.
