Shared moments in literature
Since it was created in 1994, the FIL has welcomed writers and artists from all fields, with more than 5,000 guests from all genres taking part in over 1,000 events over the years. They have brought a one-of-a-kind, vital literary experience to 300,000 people in the 30 years since the festival’s inception.
Viewed as a celebration of words and literature, the FIL is both a place of sharing and a space of creation and experimentation in the literary arts. It plays a major role in presenting literary shows all across Canada, ensuring the greatest possible exposure for these artists and their creations.
