A second act between Montreal and Poland, featuring the unique contemporary voices of Béatrice Larrivée and Cai Glover, alongside the classical flair of Ballet Wrocław from Poland.
Brièvement by Béatrice Larrivée
A singular performer from Kuujjuaq and a collaborator with renowned companies such as RUBBERBAND and Batsheva Ensemble, Béatrice Larrivée delivers an intimate and powerful performance. Through a body language imbued with constraints and instinct, Brièvement explores the invisible weight of the choices we make or think we make. Somewhere between abstraction and narrative, this work raises universal questions about solitude, fear and freedom, while placing the body at the centre of a profoundly human quest.
Oh mother oh brother! by Cai Glover
Cai Glover presents his new creation Oh mother, oh brother. Deaf since birth, Cai shapes a deeply sensorial choreographic language where the body becomes a site of listening and resonance. His unique way of hearing fuels a visceral movement, charged with emotion and traversed by raw poetry. His work, suspended between fragility and intensity, reflects a constant search for connection—with self, with others, with silence.
“My love is gestic / And my hands are tied” whispers a voice in the shadows, between revolt and surrender. This verse, drawn from a poem by the artist, resonates as a manifesto for dance that makes the invisible visible, questions identity, and exposes the body’s memory.
