Centenaire Janette
An inspiration for generations of Quebecers
A key figure for the Quebec cultural and media scene, Janette Bertrand is a host, actress and writer. Known for her TV shows Comment, pourquoi?, Parler pour parler, as well as Avec un grand A, this year she celebrates 100 years of history and a host of outstanding achievements.
To mark the anniversary, three events are offered at Place des Arts until May: the documentary video installation Le siècle de Janette, an Entretien art et société entitled Pourquoi a-t-on encore besoin d'une Janette?, and the play Janette, presented by Duceppe.
