“Time goes by, and it takes its time,” as the song says. And time has indeed passed… after more than thirty years of joyfully toiling, here and elsewhere, on the glowing embers of Québec’s traditional repertoire.
30 years of gathering and sharing;
30 years of singing without ever losing heart, keeping time with the tapping foot;
30 years of camaraderie, in unison or in harmony;
30 years of getting along well—and sometimes waiting on one another.
After all this time filled with joy, and a deep sorrow marked by the loss of their great Jean-Claude, Rossignolet des bois, why not take pleasure—and bring some along with it?
And so, Michel Bordeleau, Michel Faubert, André Marchand, and Normand Miron set out once more on the roads they have travelled so often. One final journey through their world, offering a last chance to see, on stage, in a production shaped by the brilliant eye of Émile Proulx-Cloutier, four “charbonniers” sing… Les Charbonniers de l’enfer!
