In the summer of 2026, over 200 dancers from CY School of Ballet will step onto the stage to share their joy and love of dance. From tiny 3-year-old dreamers to inspiring young performers. And, for the first time, members of our adult program. This special evening celebrates the belief that the love of dance knows no age.
Part I: The Adventure of Youth
Through 17 delightful pieces, audiences will follow the adventure of young dancers as they grow, from first tiptoes to soaring Grand Jetés, from wobbly balances to confident Pirouettes. Featuring classical ballet, character dance, Chinese classical dance, contemporary works, and original neoclassical creations, this act is a celebration of growth, imagination, and passion. We are also delighted to welcome special guest performers, alongside some of CY’s outstanding dancers, to share this special evening with the next generation.
Part II: Anna II – The Awakening of the Frozen Castle
Once upon a time, in a forgotten magical world, dance was the language of life. But when a frozen force cast the kingdom into silence, every dance, every dream, and every memory were sealed beneath snow and ice.
Now, young Anna’s journey continues. Drawn into the frozen castle by destiny, she discovers a world trapped in time, where each sleeping soul waits to be awakened. Guided by mysterious guardians, Anna begins a magical quest through classical ballet variations, breaking the spell one dance at a time.
More than a performance, Anna II is an original story ballet of courage, discovery, and transformation, a fairytale where dance has the power to bring a frozen world back to life.
As part of our annual tradition, 50% of ticket proceeds from this gala will be donated to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation, allowing this special evening of dance to also give back to children and families in our community.
