At this evening of Guinean dance, listen to the sound of the drums as dancer Bamba Fodé Camara guides you through the positions, alignment, jumps, and basic progressions of Guinean dance. The dancefloor will be all yours as you follow the rhythms of the percussionists and dancers of the Zab Maboungou / Nyata Nyata Dance Company. The evening is topped off with the DJ Juju Le Moko to keep you dancing until 10 pm!
New this year: drinks and snacks will be available at the Festival’s bars, as soon as the site opens at 6 pm. The animation and the initiation class start at 7 pm.
The L’Art en soi Festival features six festive “Soirées dansantes”—dance evenings—with introductory lessons on various styles of dance, live music, and DJs: samba, disco and waacking, Guinean dance, Bollywood, Latin dance, and country. Five “Midis dansés”—lunchtime dances—are also on the program to get you moving at midday! It’s a date, on the Esplanade at Place des Arts, from September 15 to 24!
