Pianist, composer, and conductor Marianne Trudel premieres a bold new work for the Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal (ONJ)—Au centre, la lumière—where orchestral power meets emotional depth.

Known for her fearless blending of improvisation, rich harmonies, and complex structures, Trudel brings both ambition and intimacy to the orchestral format. The program also revisits Dans la Forêt de ma Mémoire (2015), the first work the ONJ entrusted to her—offering a rare look at an artistic voice in full evolution. Poised between tradition and the avant-garde, this concert is one of the defining events of the 2025–2026 musical season.
