The International Festival of Films on Art (Le FIFA) will open its 44th edition with a deeply intimate world premiere of Quebec director André-Line Beauparlant's feature film Mon amour, c'est pour le restant de mes jours.
The film is presented in the International Competition – Feature Films and National Competition – Feature Films.
In this deeply sincere documentary, André-Line Beauparlant takes up the camera to better understand the life and work of her partner, filmmaker Robert Morin. Composed of film clips, footage from shoots, conversations, and personal archives, the film reveals the inner workings of their collaboration in cinema and in life.
The narrative forms a dual biography that reflects on love, obsession, the passage of time, and death. Guided by a deep desire to reach out to the other, the film unfolds like a love letter, a daily journal, and a resolutely feminist proposition: that of combining creation in the plural.
