A common thread of tumultuous passion, raw sensitivity, pathos, and tragedy runs between the works of Chopin and Tchaïkovsky, the former’s dreamlike fantasy and ecstasy vying with the latter’s fiery power and gesture. Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Seong-Jin Cho, returning to the Amphitheatre after their first joint concert in the summer of 2019, reunite for nothing less than a spectacular conclusion to the Festival’s 2023 edition.
