Noël Gospel kicks off the Christmas season with the more than 100 voices of Jireh Gospel Choir and Montreal Gospel Choir, directed by Carol Bernard, in a soulful gospel celebration.
Noël Gospel is a high-energy show that will move you, lift you up and leave you filled with the joy of the season. The repertoire spans traditional and contemporary gospel, from spirituals to hip-hop, and features gospel classics, original compositions and Christmas favourites.
Founded in 2011, the 80-voice Montreal Gospel Choir is known for its dynamic live performances. Celebrating 30 years, award-winning Jireh Gospel Choir was the subject of the 2025 National Film Board of Canada documentary Jireh Gospel: Hearts in Chorus. Both choirs perform with a live band led by Paul Charles, also musical director of Radio-Canada’s Tout peut arriver.
Jireh’s album Get Up was named Gospel Album of the Year by the Gospel Music Association Canada. They have headlined the Montreal Jazz Festival three times, shared the stage with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, opened for Kirk Franklin at the Bell Centre, and performed in France, Switzerland and the United States.
