Simon Boisseau is a pianist who seeks to convey impressions that will last a lifetime.
Whether performing solo piano with a neo-classical sound, accompanying Fredz and Émile Bourgault, as a member of the funky pop-rock band Barber For The Queen, as a musical director, arranger, or composer of film scores, this self-taught musician from the South Shore has been quietly making his mark on the cultural scene here and abroad since the release of his second album, Le déjeuner, on Bravo Musique in March 2023. While the latter evoked a state of mind, a collection of memories, and morning contemplation, the album Les fausses illusions, released on April 24, 2026, is closer to the soundtrack of an animated film (one of his passions) and, rather than focusing on a single moment of the day, spans his entire life to date. More than just solo piano, the album features arrangements—notably strings—in pieces that offer recurring themes and surprising twists.
