Sounds of the East is a live tribute concert celebrating the music of Sayed Darwish, Abdel Halim Hafez and Mohammed Abdu, three defining figures whose repertoires have accompanied generations across the Arab world.

Presented in the Cinquième Salle at Place des Arts and performed live by Toronto-based Hikaya Band, the concert brings new life to songs that have become enduring classics.

Each song tells a story and awakens a memory. Through powerful vocals, rich arrangements and timeless melodies, Hikaya Band takes audiences on a musical journey shaped by love, longing, joy and resilience.
