United by a shared passion for poetry and social engagement, director and performer Yoann Bourgeois and Canadian musician Patrick Watson have created a highly stimulating show underpinned by a profound exploration of our world.
Always in search of new experiences, the dynamic Yoann Bourgeois - who is also an acrobat, juggler, and dancer - embarked in 2020 on an ongoing artistic dialogue with Patrick Watson, a Canadian musician who moves between indie rock, pop, and cabaret. Faced with a world plagued by serious ills (ecological crisis, social exclusion, economic injustice…), both artists are determined to fully embrace their responsibilities as artists. “We believe in the power of the most radical poetry, in spellbinding songs, in truly magical incantations, and in wild ideas,” says Yoann Bourgeois. Their collaboration, which began in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, has resulted in a show that is as rich and vibrant as it is dynamic, featuring several other performers.
