Montreal, November 18, 2025 – In December, be part of holiday magic at Place des Arts and its quadrilateral! Plunge into an enchanted atmosphere by way of a rich, varied program that celebrates the end of the year in grand style. From November 30, 2025, to January 3, 2026, 20 shows await: musical comedy, ballet, Christmas music, French-language songs, classical-music concerts and young-audience theater. As a family, as a couple, or with friends, come and enjoy unforgettable moments at Place des Arts – the ultimate holiday destination.

Pub Royal
December 3 to January 3 | Théâtre Maisonneuve
If you haven’t seen Pub Royal yet, the musical comedy by Les Cowboys Fringants (ADISQ award-winning band once again this year for Album of the Year – Popular Success) that transports you to the wackiest bar in Quebec, then now’s the time! Created using the band’s greatest hits as well as new songs, it features seven actors and singers, seven dancers and six breath-taking circus artists.

The Nutcracker
December 12 to 30 | Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier
Every year in Montreal, Fernand Nault’s ballet The Nutcracker enchants audiences to the music of Tchaikovsky. Inspired by a tale of Hoffmann’s, it relates the magical adventure of Clara, plunged into a fairy-tale world after receiving a gift of a wooden nutcracker that comes to life. Bringing together some 165 performers accompanied by the performance of Les Grands Ballets Orchestra, this show is more than a great tradition – it’s a journey into wonder.

Rufus & Martha Wainwright | Cri de Noël
December 22 | Maison symphonique
A Family Christmas with the Wainwright/McGarrigle is a holiday concert drenched in emotion, presented in memory of Kate McGarrigle. Performed by Rufus and Martha, along with several guests, the event celebrates their mother’s musical and human heritage while supporting research on sarcoma, the illness she suffered from. A warm, intimate and deeply meaningful moment.
Isabelle Boulay | En attendant Noël
December 5 and 6 | Cinquième Salle
Isabelle Boulay invites her audience to a magical concert in an intimate atmosphere to launch the 2025 holiday season. With her heavenly voice she performs Christmas classics and winter songs, blending gentleness, nostalgia and warmth. The show, spanning styles and eras, promises a comforting, magical moment, rich in sensitivity and emotion.
Parapapam
December 26 to 28 | Maison symphonique
Parapapam! is celebrating Christmas in brilliant style at Maison symphonique. Mélissa Bédard, Christian Marc Gendron and Vladimir Kornéev, in the company of Manon Séguin, will be doing five exceptional concerts. With its orchestra of 35 musicians and over a hundred choral singers, the grand-scale show combines Christmas classics, gospel and uplifting rhythms in a congenial, magical atmosphere.

Garou solo
December 27 to January 4 | Cinquième Salle
Alone on stage, Garou is presenting his new show at Cinquième Salle, a rare opportunity to see the singer in such an intimate setting. With just him, his instruments and his technology, he’s performing both his classics and new songs from his first album as a singer-songwriter. The cinematic and theatrical show revisits a 30-year career in an emotional and elegant way.
Marie Carmen | Perles cachées
December 16 | Cinquième Salle
After her stunning comeback, Marie Carmen returns as a solo with Perles cachées, an intimate show with a staging by Joe Bocan. She’ll be performing hits, new numbers and special favorites, emotionally revisiting her life and career. Her one-of-a-kind voice and legendary charisma promise a moving musical journey, passionate and intimate both.
Claude Meunier et La Famille Denuy | La tournée WESTERN DENUY
December 19 | Cinquième Salle
Claude Meunier plays the role of Noël “Doyen” Denuy in a humorous musical cabaret with La Famille Denuy. Between hilarious monologues and neo-western music, the show serves up a surprising, funny and offbeat universe. It’s halfway between humor and music, and audiences come away feeling happily won over and smiling from ear to ear. A unique creation, faithful to Meunier’s imagination.

Neiges: The OM celebrates André Gagnon
December 13 and 14 | Maison symphonique
The album Neiges is 50 years old! To mark the anniversary, the Orchestre Métropolitain pays vibrant tribute to the composer André Gagnon, one of Quebec music’s treasured gems. An accomplished pianist and outspoken advocate for Quebec culture, André Gagnon dedicated his career to bridging the worlds of classical and popular music. Neiges is a shining example of that, featuring the Beethoven-inspired “Dédéthoven.” Choral works round out the program, the better to immerse us in the holiday spirit with both gusto and a hint of nostalgia.

Nicolas Noël | Entre deux mondes
December 27 and 28 | Théâtre Jean-Duceppe
Father Nicolas Noël returns with a brand-new comical holiday show, one where the young elf Trémaline has the idea of modernizing Christmas with delivery drones and augmented reality. Torn between traditions and new technologies, Father Christmas will have to preserve the magic of the Great Night. A joyous and touching intergenerational moment, a different way of celebrating Christmas with the family.
