From country rhythms to the sounds of folk and rock. Experience a solo performance of Alex Burger’s new album, Ça s’invente pas, one last time, up close.

Winner of the Félix Award for Country Album of the Year in 2021 for his debut album, Sweet Montérégie, Alex Burger is celebrating the end of the tour for Ça s’invente pas, his second album. Driven by folk influences and rock rhythms, this new work reveals a warm, gentle voice and finely crafted, droll, and touching lyricism through which Burger explores love, the road, everyday life, and the unexpected turns we sometimes face.

Usually backed by his faithful and seasoned band Prix Staff, he’s making a solo appearance at Les Veillées, with a stripped-down and intimate performance of his songs from Ça s’invente pas, giving them new depth, appearing in rare proximity to audience members, who will also get to experience his creative process as he performs a few new songs.

After the show, stay around for a special chat with Alex.
