The first, Schumann's Fantasiestücke Op. 12, is composed of eight short pieces, also known as miniatures. The second, in stark contrast, is Liszt's Sonata in B minor, a work consisting of a single, expansive movement of approximately thirty minutes of continuous music.
Named by the CBC as one of Canada’s top 30 musicians under 30, pianist Chloé Dumoulin has an international career that has taken her to Canada, the United States, Europe, and China, where she recently completed her first solo tour of Asia. She made her debut at Maison symphonique at Place des Arts under the direction of Jacques Lacombe in 2021 and was awarded third prize at the 2024 Prix d’Europe competition. She receives support from several foundations, including the Sylva Gelber Foundation and Jeunesses Musicales Canada. Since 2023, she has been pursuing advanced studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
