The Association des orchestres de jeunes de la Montérégie presents a concert at the Maison symphonique de Montréal featuring three ensembles of emerging musicians: Ensemble Prélude, conducted by Isabelle Bouchard, the Orchestre à cordes junior de la Montérégie, under the direction of Nicole Lauzière, and the Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de la Montérégie, conducted by Georges-Étienne d’Entremont.
In the second half, the Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de la Montérégie will perform a program inspired by dance and storytelling, including works by Smetana (The Bartered Bride – Dance of the Comedians), Saint-Saëns (Danse macabre and Samson and Delilah – Bacchanale) and Rimsky-Korsakov (Scheherazade).
This concert highlights the sustained work of dedicated young musicians engaged in a path of excellence, presented in the exceptional acoustic setting of the Maison symphonique.
