For this Classical Spree, the OSM invites the recently formed Ensemble Obiora, composed of musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds, for a fabulous concert on the theme of the Americas. The ensemble will perform Dvořák’s magnificent “American” Quartet, as well as the Fantasia for Saxophone by Brazilian composer Villa-Lobos, featuring celebrated American saxophonist Stephen Banks. This program will be preceded by George Walker’s Lyric for Strings.
