Works that prominently feature the bassoon are by no means commonplace, even less those that require four! This concert provides a chance to appreciate the full splendour of this often uncelebrated instrument, with original works that highlight its various attributes. The OSM bassoonists invite you on a journey through the Americas, from Marjan Mozetich’s Canada to Francisco Mignone’s Brazil, via Eddie Mora’s Costa Rica and the United States of Duke Ellington and Gershwin.
