The Festival debut of Leonardo García Alarcón and his Cappella Mediterranea in 2023 made history, not only for the superlative beauty of their interpretation of Monteverdi’s L'Orfeo, but also for their transformative work on style and movement, revealing the 'total art' that is both theatre and music: opera! This time, they return with the intriguing Poppea and an array of fascinating characters.
