The St. Lawrence Choir celebrates its 50th season with the presentation of Mendelssohn’s Lobgesang. Composed in 1840, the work for soloists, choir, and orchestra is a Symphony-Cantata in 11 movements, a Hymn of Praise! The concert also features Brahms’s Schicksalslied (1871), a choral and symphonic setting of a poem by Hölderlin.
