Both classically trained and steeped in the greats of French song, one revels in absurdity and biting humour, while the other dissects the nuances of seduction and being in love.
Together on stage, Rose Naggar-Tremblay and La Charpie bring their worlds into dialogue in a bittersweet, poetic-cynical double bill, somewhere between a Parisian café and a Québécois boîte à chansons. With piano at their fingertips and surrounded by musicians, they deliver their original songs with a commanding stage presence, songs ranging from saccharine love to scathing critiques of human folly.
Rose Naggar-Tremblay first gained attention with the release of her EP, Je me souviens à toi, her appearances at the Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée, and her recent collaboration with Robert Charlebois. La Charpie, finalist of the 2022 Granby International Song Contest, has performed on many stages in Quebec and presents her second album Fausse sceptique.
