The Place des Arts Espace culturel Georges-Émile-Lapalme welcomes Gilles Tarabiscuité for an exhibition dedicated to his works. The artist explores the relationship between humans and digital technology and then tries to reshape works of art, and to spatialize, in three dimensions, generated images normally created for 2D screens.
How does one create digital art without a computer? How does one take pictures that resemble computer-generated images, yet remain “true” photographs, without any alterations or digital editing? This is the goal of Visions du monde numérique. With simple cardboard polygons and wooden shapes on which he glues pictures of various objects and subjects, Gilles Tarabiscuité manages to create works unrivaled by the best Photoshop experts, in a truly analog way.
