Returning to the Festival after over a decade, pianist Inon Barnatan invites us on a journey through the history of his instrument, winding his way through different eras and styles. From Baroque dance to the great variation cycles, through the music of today and the kaleidoscopic works of Ligeti and Barber, this recital ascends to the heights of Romanticism, culminating with Brahms’ “Handel Variations.”
