Tempéo, Dance and Music Festival

The free cultural event of the new season to enjoy under city stars from September 10 to 14!

Montreal, August 6, 2025 – From this September 10 to 14, Place des Arts invites the Montreal public to enjoy a collective experience where dance, different cultures, discoveries and festivities blend with world rhythms at the seventh edition of TEMPÉO, Dance and Music Festival. For five nights, the Esplanade at Place des Arts will bring together established and up-and-coming bands, renowned local DJs and stars from the world of dance in an electric atmosphere to the sounds of funk, Eastern pop, country music, Afro-pop and salsa. 

 This year, free dance workshops will be back every evening at 6 p.m. on the Place des Arts Esplanade. Whether you’re a master of the dancefloor or you’ve got two left feet, this will be the perfect time to try out different types of dances in the company of professional artists. The workshops will be followed by a live performance by a band at 7 p.m. and DJs lighting up the dancefloor starting at 8:30 p.m until 10:00 p.m.  

Kicking things off for this edition will be a performance by the band The Brooks on the opening, funk-themed, evening. Enjoy free, accessible activities with no reservation required. Hosted by Philippe Fehmiu, Festival TEMPÉO Danse et Musique promises to be one of the most anticipated moments of the new school season!

Finally, a refreshments and food zone with background music will let you unwind between dances.
